Dusky HRC

The club held our first fundraiser October 18th at Coyote Creek Retrievers. We held a Duck Dog Challenge event, also referred to as “sporting clays with your dog”. What an absolute blast we all had! We had Youth, Hunter and Open events and got to play with the Team event. Toni and Laura will be quick to point out the whistle interference from certain, ahem, persons in the gallery, preventing the Girl Power Team win!! After scores were posted, it turns out the best strategy was “Break, dog, break!!!” Well, that, and hit the clay!! When we were done shooting, the line began for the money blind. Much laughter and clapping ensued as we waited to see which dog would find the bumper with the white rope!! The weather was perfect and we were able to help the club coffers, both through entries and with dinner and a raffle.
